Cameron (pictured) and his case manager have worked hard to identify a suitable career path. He has participated in several activities and programs in order to gain skills and explore possible career pathways. This includes participating in the Pathways workshops at Mai-Wel LabourForce Solutins which included administrative tasks. Cameron has also participated in several goal setting exercises with his consultant.
From these capacity building activities, Cameron and his case manager decided on enrolling in a Certificate II in Administration at TAFE NSW. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 Pandemic hit, and his anticipated face-to-face classes were no longer possible, which is a shame as Cameron is a people person and enjoys social interactions.
However, Cameron and his case manager decided to make the best of the situation and figured out a great alternative would be to enrol to complete one of the free on-line TAFE certificates that are currently on offer. This way Cameron can continue with his learning from home, giving him a kick-start for when he can return to the class room and pick up additional units when it is safe to do so.
Good luck Cameron!
