Inclusive Employment Australia, Finding careers for people with disability

Helping you prepare for, find, and keep meaningful work

If you have an injury, illness or disability and a goal to find a job, Mai-Wel is here to support you to achieve your goals through Inclusive Employment Australia.

As an Inclusive Employment Australia provider, we work with job seekers with injury, illness, or disability to find and keep a job.

We also work with employers who are looking for new staff to join their team. By working with job seekers and employers, together we can achieve life-changing outcomes!

What is Inclusive Employment Australia?

Inclusive Employment Australia is a new program in 2025 replacing Disability Employment Services. It offers long-term, flexible support tailored to people with disability, injury, or health conditions, funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.

Whether you are just starting out, returning to work, or need extra support to stay in your job, Inclusive Employment Australia is here to help.

Those already part of Disability Employment Services will automatically transition to Inclusive Employment Australia.

How we will help you to find and keep a job

If you have a health condition, mental health barrier or a disability and are looking for work, we can help you:

  • Build confidence and develop practical skills to get a job
  • Create a resume, write a cover letter and help with online applications
  • Interview training and work readiness
  • Connect with relevant local community services, supports and programs
  • Get your license, tickets for work and more
  • Opportunities for apprenticeships, traineeships or further education
  • Find a job that suits you!

Are you eligible?

To be supported by our Disability Employment Services, you must answer ‘yes’ to these questions:

  • Looking to get into the workforce?
  • Aged between 14-67?
  • Can you work a minimum of 8 hours a week?
  • Are you an Australian resident?
  • Not studying full-time?
  • Think you might require ongoing support to help you keep a job?

The service we provide depends on your needs

Our Disability Employment Services is different for each person we support.

We’re committed to your empowerment and choice

It’s really important to us that we support people to feel empowered and have choice and control of the way we support them.

To achieve this, we are committed to working to the Australian Government’s National Standards for Disability Services.

Job Seeker Feedback

I am very grateful to the staff at MWLFS for helping me to find a job. Since I started work back in October I have felt more positive about myself and life in general. It feels good to know that I’m contributing to the community and it also feels good to have a little more money in my pocket. The training that was suggested helped me to gain the confidence to know that I can do the job.

Martin

I have always been interested in working in a florist. The training and work experience I did paid off and I now have a great job where I get to do the thing that I love most. The best part of my week is going to work.

Liz

I never thought that I would get a job but MWLFS helped me to start my career with an admin traineeship. Now, 9 years later, I have a job that I love, increased duties and responsibilities and loving what I do.
