What is Mai-Wel Academy?

We’re shaking up the way we support people into employment.

If you are ready to build skills, do training, work with mentors and receive support to enter into employment – we’ll make it simple with Mai-Wel Academy.

With Mai-Wel Academy, we’ll support people to achieve employment goals with structured programs and a flexible pathway built for each person’s unique strengths and interests.

We know that people prepare best for work, through work, so Mai-Wel Academy offers a huge range of workplace learning opportunities both in our own centres and in the local community. Experiences are available in a range of industries, including: hospitality, retail, facilities maintenance, construction, stores and packaging.

Mai-Wel Academy will accommodate a range of life stages, for example you may join the Mai-Wel Academy in high school, you may have already graduated, or you could be currently employed in an Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE). If your goal is to expand your horizons, try new things and enter training, education or open employment – we’ll help set you on the path to get there.

When you’re ready to take the step into the open job market, you’ll be able to smoothly transition into our employment services to start the hunt for work, and even access Mai-Wel’s unique post-placement support to ensure you and your employer are supported.
