In an exciting new initiative, Mai-Wel DES Participants Luke and John recently starred in a promotional video created as part of a collaboration between Mai-Wel and IHG Voco Kirkton Park. This video aims to highlight the importance of inclusion and accessibility in the workplace for people with disability, while also showcasing the successful partnership between Mai-Wel and IHG.
Both Luke and John were thrilled to participate in the video. Through their interviews, they expressed their love for their jobs and spoke highly of the support they receive at Voco Kirkton Park. John shared, “It was great being in the video and sharing my story,” while Luke said, “It was good to talk about my job.”
Their Support Worker, Ian, praised the opportunity, noting, “It was such a great experience for them to be part of, and it has significantly boosted their confidence. I am immensely proud of the boys and how well they’re treated and respected by Voco Management and staff. It’s also fantastic to see two businesses come together to recognise and promote the value of people with disability in the workforce.”
