Hollie’s Determination Sees Her Achieve a Very Special Goal!
At Mai-Wel Academy, we take immense pride in watching our participants grow and achieve their dreams. Hollie, an Academy Participant, joined us last year with one clear goal in mind: to secure employment and purchase a ringneck parrot. Through her unwavering determination and positive attitude, she has worked hard to make this dream a reality, while gaining so much more along the way!
Hollie has embraced every opportunity that has come her way. Her journey began with the completion of Mai-Wel’s RSPCA enrichment program, where she developed new skills in animal care. Her commitment led her to become an RSPCA volunteer, giving her the opportunity to work with animals and contribute to her local community.
Eager to try new things, Hollie gained work experience at Sausage Stays, where she spent her time as a professional dog cuddler. Currently, she is completing work experience one day a week at both Lahori Cafe in Maitland and Abermain Bowling Club, and she is excited to start a cleaning course two days a week.
In addition to her hands-on experience, Hollie has successfully completed multiple courses through Mai-Wel Academy, including attaining her RSA and RCG certifications. These achievements have brought her closer to reaching her personal and professional goals.
Hollie’s journey is a shining example of how determination, support, and a willingness to try new things can lead to incredible outcomes. Congratulations to Hollie on all her achievements—we are so proud of the progress she has made, and we can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next!
